I was listening to "billionaire" by travie mccoy feat. bruno mars and as catchy and corny as that song is, it takes me to another world. another place where "I am", not "who am I?" especially when bruno mars sings:

makes me think about when (not if) i'm a billionaire. my struggle, my story i'm going to tell. the gain and the lost, ups and downs, mistakes and achievements. everybody has a story to tell: how you went soul searching to find out who you are, how you started from nothing and worked your way to the top, how you lost everything, vanished, and came back stronger. my story will have all those twist and turns because though i would like the world on a sliver platter handed to me, i would be missing the journey that others had to go thru..and thats half the fun.

Laurence Fishburne is by far one of the most talented, diverse actors I've seen. From his role in the Matrix as Morpheus to his outstanding portrayal of Ike Turner in What's Love Got To Do With It, he is the man.

We haven't seen much of him in the news and movie scene and that's due to the fact he's living it up off screen now in DC as Thurgood Marshall.

I really started getting into the news and politics more during The Great Recession and you know, the world is full of bs. I know, now, why i didn't like watching the news before. It's filled with negativity. Who wants to start their morning off hearing about traffic, murder, theft, and all that's in between. The news has it's pros and cons but it's informative either way. But you do have some people who I just can't understand for the life of me why they have their own programs. Cases in point: Bill O' Reilly. This man is a racist or just plain ignorant, depending on who's asking. Today, this man called a black scholar a drug dealer "jokingly" He KNEW what he was saying and his track record definitely backs it up:

Thanks to a very special person in my life, I've opened my ears and started listening to music. Now for those that don't understand what I mean or are asking 'you never heard music before?'...please kill yoself...slowly (spelled yourself like that purposely)

Just kidding, but let me explain. I was the type of person who just listened to the radio and that's how I knew what was hot. Now, I know that the radio is the devil and you must go out and search for good music. The genre I feel like I'm falling in love with is R&B soul/Neo-Soul/plain and simple R&B. No I'm not talking about Beyonce R&B. I'm talking about Maxwell, Donell Jones, Tank, Tyrese. I'm talking Eryka Badu, Jill Scott, Angie Stone. That kinda music where you not only feel the beat, but the words make you rock.It gets in ya system and takes control of ya mind, limbs, soul and you go on a journey into ya imagination and feel like you are connecting with that artist.

I've had this discussion with my partner in crime for a long time.

How come people like Marques Houston and Omarion aren't on the level of say Trey Songz or Usher?

Granted, they do have big fan bases and they sell records but they haven't had that "shine" yet...well to me at least. We said that maybe it's because both of them just seem odd with other mainstream people. Like could you see Omarion with Nicki Minaj on a track? He would be in Nicki's shadow (and that's sad) or Marques Houston with Drake? (crazy)

But good Ol Marques Houston is slowly trying to prove me wrong. He has a song featuring Rick Ross...and though I don't really care for him so much...the song isn't that bad.

It's really hard to believe that on June 25th, it'll be a year since we lost the greatest entertainer of all time. *tear tear* Keeping that in mind, you know many people will try to use this to their advantage for planning tributes in his honor; like a museum for example.

Just learned today that plans for a Michael Jackson Museum are being discussed and construction might happen sooner than we think. Funny, because in the report, it says this idea was though of all the way in 2003. I guess it'll mean more now because he's dead. How sweet of people to recognize and care for such a genius...in death.

Knew i should've bought this shirt when it came out. Still might get it lol.

For those who will celebrate the life and work of Sir Michael Jackson, just search the web and find out more about what's going down. I know that Spike Lee is going to have a big party in Brooklyn, NY at Prospect park on Michael's bday.

It's really time to set them straight

Though I do believe in someone's 'come-up-it' and karma getting people...I don't believe someone's reputation should be attacked. For the longest time now, people have been trying to prove, with fake pics and fake vids of him, that Bow Wow is in fact gay. It even goes way back when he first came out with Bounce With Me and Puppy Love that he was gay. The first rumor I read about was the encounter with his bodyguard. Here are the facts from snopes.com and you can answer the question: Was bow wow raped by his bodyguard?

It's hard to ascertain where a river begins, but this rumor has been documented as being in circulation as far back as Lil' Bow Wow 26 February 2001. It has subsequently appeared many times with very few shifts having taken place in the basic story: The raped rapper is always Lil' Bow Wow, the rapist is always the bodyguard or driver, and almost always the youngster is said to have received a specified number of stitches (the number varying from one telling to the next). Only one additional noteworthy detail appeared in an isolated subsequent telling, the news that "Snoop Dogg has a hit out on the limo driver." (Apparently a concerned brother rapper would not think to turn the matter of a sexual assault on a minor over to the police when he can just order the guy murdered.)

Did such an assault take place? We have to believe it did not because nothing of this nature appeared in the news, and the media is not overly squeamish about reporting such matters. After this nasty rumor died down, I didn't hear anything drastic. It was the typical "men hating on the celeb that every girl loves so to make themselves feel better, they call him a faggot" syndrome from then on. But recently...pictures have been surfacing and a girl by the name of Kat Stacks has opened her mouth: (couldnt find the blog post so just skip to the part about bow wow)

she claimed he had a dildo shaped kinda like an Easter egg that went up his butt; at least that's what she wrote on her blog. Whatever happened with them is between her, Bow Wow and God. Even after she "exposed" him, there were the pics.

Now as you can see in this picture, bow wow was already getting tatted up before he cut his hair and it's not like he cut it then went back to growing it, then cut it again. He cut it short, yes, but he didn't cut it completely off til later down the line. The person in that "still shot" has his head shaved and has no tats. Bow Wow+no hair= tatted

All I'm saying is don't believe everything you see. Though...this video is a little suspect:

Seems as though Biggie won't be where it stops. According to BleuMag, there is talk and maybe some pre production starting in Sept this year dealing with a movie about Rapper/Actor Tupac. All I can really say is...IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME! Director Antoine Fuqua was quoted..

As a blogger, I know people hate and voice their opinions by any means necessary. Gossip and shyt talking are just apart of society unfortunately and you have to grow a pair and deal with it. I've had my fair share of shyt talking sessions with friends and family and I plead guilty on creating drama through rumors and gossip in grade school, but at this state (not saying I'm old as shyt though) it really is time to grow the fuck up.
Granted, gossip is a quick treatment for boredom and an easy access pass for entertainment; there are other ways to simulate conversation. If gossip is and forever always will be your conversation starter, let me give you this opportunity to back the fuck up, cuz i don't have the time or patience anymore.
"He who is without sin, cast the first stone." I know, I know, but you gotta learn from your mistakes, don't make the same one twice and mature. Gossiping constantly, to me a least, shows that:
1. You're not very intelligent. Small people talk about other people, average people talk about material things, and great people talk about ideas. Always keep that in the back of your mind.
2. You're not very trustworthy. If you talk about everybody and everything, whenever, wherever, I'd be scared to even tell you the time if you asked me. It makes people that associate with you, withhold information because of your mouth= not cute.

Take this post...and a minute to yourself..to think about the people you associate with. Do you happen to have one friend who is always in the loop about some type of gossip going on? Whether it be local or international? Do they always ask you about personal questions without giving advice on matters or having a very defensive attitude when answering questions?

My advice to you: be very careful with those people. Yes, they have their very great qualities about them that make you keep them around, but take the relationship as an outsider looking in for a minute. Drama is never good, especially when you have big things planned for your life, and with friends that gossip til the cows come home, it'll be even harder.
I've seen friendships destroyed because of gossip, leading to back stabbing and tarnished reps. Rather than hold on to 20%...let things go..simmer into nothing. Can't let dead weight hold you down.

I'll leave you guys with this song...cuz thru the bullshyt and the storm, there are good, real people out there. Jus keep ya head up and look to the future.

Today was my day. I really felt like I could just do whatever, whenever. Of course, with out a really good job, some of the things I want to do won't happen right now, but if I can get one of the things i wanna do off the ground, everything else will follow. As said in a previous post, hurt and disappointment inflicted by others is an inevitable experience that we all must face at some point in our lives. We have no control over the actions of others or the negative feelings their actions can sometimes evoke. We can either perpetuate the feelings of hurt and disappointment or accept what has happened and begin moving on.

When someone has done us wrong, it’s common for us to take on the role of the victim. The key is not to exploit this role for attention, sympathy and confirmation, which is very easy to do (and you may not even realize that you are doing it). After getting hurt, you really just want to know that at least someone out there cares and that someone is on your side, right? There are plenty of people that care and that are on your side, but this isn’t really the ideal way to go about soliciting their support. (i.e. Telling anyone who will listen about what so & so did to you)

When you ignore someone, talk badly about them, are rude to them, don’t forgive them, etc…you are clearly indicating that you have not yet gotten past the pain that they caused you. In addition to prolonging the drama, you are either consciously or subconsciously trying to spread your pain to them. These are not good, healthy ways to deal with your emotions and get closure. Often times, this causes you to carry baggage into your future relationships. (i.e. Having trust issues because someone cheated on you)

As far as closure goes, I hear too often of people seeking closure from the person that hurt them. It’s natural to want to know what someone was thinking, why they hurt you, if they ever cared about you. 99% of the time, you are not going to get the answers to those questions because nobody likes to admit when they are wrong or dwell on poor decisions. Often times, there really isn’t a valid explanation to be offered if they have even thought about it. I think that actively seeking closure is most times unrealistic. It can’t be forced. Additionally, the person that hurt you could potentially identify that your closure is dependent on them and take advantage of that. (i.e. Everytime you try to walk away, they do or say something to pull you back into the same emotional rollercoaster)

Forgiveness is something that you do on your own time and of your own will. It should not be dependent on anyone but you. Once, in a conversation about someone hurting me, my dad gave me some really good advice. He told me that you just have to take people for what they are. Regardless of what they did to you, now you know what they are capable of and not to put yourself in that position again and/or to be more cautious. He told me to make the conscious decision to LET IT GO and no longer let anyone or anything (that most times aren’t even worth your time and energy) steal your joy.

If the person that hurt you has apologized and still wants to pursue a friendship or relationship with you, then this is at your discretion. If you choose to continue to deal with this person, you should be a little cautious but also make sure you have truly forgiven them. You can’t hold the past against them when you insinuate that you have forgiven them and are trying to move on. This is taking a step backwards. If you find that you can’t move on with that person serving as a constant reminder of the hurt and disappointment that you experienced, then perhaps it’s a sign that they are no more forward steps in the relationship. At which point, it would be best to continue pursuing the forward steps to forgiveness and moving on independently.

I think that forgiveness is a huge part of the maturation process. Forgiveness in itself is a process whose length and difficulty vary by situation. Sometimes, we feel as though certain things could just never ever be forgiven. I urge you to remember that you are not perfect and have also inflicted hurt and disappointment to someone else at some point in your life. Hopefully, all encounters with forgiveness (forgiving others, others forgiving us and us forgiving ourselves) are lessons learned about how we allow others to treat us, how we treat others and how we treat ourselves.

To my 6 followers, I do thank you dearly and I apologize for my slackage...that's not a word but OOOOOOO WELL!

I actually have A LOT to talk about. First and foremost, my career path in life: I'm aspiring to be a wedding planner/wedding consultant/bride consultant. I KNOW. Let that sink in. I've been doing my research with the whole business and I haven't even scratch the surface. It's a shame cuz, like, there really isn't a school...well scratch dat...there aren't a majority of schools that carry that as a major. The closest thing that I found was like Hospitality Administration and Management or even what I'm taking now, which is Business Administration. The major that should be studied, if you're like me, is something to do with organization, fashion, and travel. I really do wish that schools would like have a "make your own major" program. It would go something like this...follow me...

School's would have there regular majors, of course. EVERYBODY, since it's required (which is stupid cuz it's basically like you're doing high school over), will have core courses the first 2 years. Within your 2 years at college, you can schedule whatever core class you like. For advance placement, you do like you do now and take a test to see if you deserve it. Basically, at my school, everybody starts off as a Liberal Arts major. Toward the end of your soph year, lets say this is spring semester, you talk with a "Major's Counselor" This will be the person you talk to about where you want to take your school career now. You sit and talk it out and during the summer before you actually start what you want, or if you're still undecided, there will be workshops, for each major, just to kind push you. If you do the research about a career you want and see there is no specific major that is going to help you...take different classes that will help you progress. Like me, for a career as a bridal consultant, I would have to take organizational classes and time management classes. Classes dealing with fashion: colors, patterns. It's not all thought out, like i said it's my school in my head lol.

I've been applying to bridal shops and I found a program that will train me to be a bridal consultant, so hopefully my hard work and drive pays off.

In other news...the world is ending. If you haven't seen 2012, please do. The earthquake in Chile will really scare the fuck out of you once you watch that movie. Actually, all these natural disasters will scare you once you watch that movie. It's a lot to think about and you never know what's gonna happen next. Another thing I'd recommend watching is "The Last Days On Earth" It was a documentary special done by 20/20. Really good.

Enough with the drama of the world ending. I can't wait til I'm 21. smh

Still looking for a job. Well, a steady job. Def working as a telemarketer right now, but hey, money is money.

I have a bone to pick with the human resources depts of certain jobs. Though times are def still hard, the qualifications for some jobs are unnecessary. For example, if I'm applying for a job that is only looking for experience, that's understandable. I know the time to train someone can be wasteful and you will be losing some type of "profit" with this process, granted. BUT if every place hiring is looking for someone with experience, where does it start? who in the fuck am i suppose to get my experience from? ESPECIALLY WITH RETAIL. Honestly, there's not that many people in the world with retail experience. I'm sure the people who actually have that experience aren't looking to go into another retail environment (if they've had experiences like i have). What's so hard about saying "Hello Mr/Mrs. Is there something I can help you with today?" Most people go into retail stores not knowing what they're going to purchase anyway so the response will probably be "Oh, no thank you." BOOM, you did your job -_-. There are a lot of places were the training would take longer, like an actual office environment or housekeeping responsibilities. For things like retail though...well in the words of ed lover

Was looking on a social site and thought i'd talk about what the masses were discussing. Unfortunately...it was about shallow people, definition of beauty and blah blah blah. The general topic was beauty.
Here's my thing: the phrase "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" = very true. what may be gorgeous to you may very well be hideous to me. take for example...beyonce.

it's really all about what you like and prefer, hence the reason why people get into such heated topics about people, places and things. it's when you get aggressive...thats where the problem lies.

Iight sooooo i haven't been doing any personal blogs ina min but since i got time...wat the hell lol.

It's funny how the idea of people that are nice because it's in there nature to be is something unheard of. Most people use a kind attitude just to get their own way...and that's a shame. it's a shame that the world is such a dog eat dog atmosphere and if someone offers "kindness" the reaction is that that person wants something in return. I mean don't get me wrong...you treat others how you like to be treated and if you are too kind then people will eventually walk all over you...

but it has to start with someone...doesn't it? All it takes to start a journey is one step.

if i add you on a social site, asking to be friends...that's all it is. i don't really approve of the starting a relationshipS online and i'm very interested in reaching people all over the states and eventually the world (if you haven't gathered by now...i'm studying to be a therapist). I like listening to people and helping people. that's how i get my happiness.

call me weird if you want. but just remember that one time when u actually just needed someone to talk to...ANYBODY. thats me.

you know...i don't speak to god much. what makes it worse? i've been in catholic school since 5th grade. religion and church should be embedded in my system, right?

but it isn't. i enjoyed going to church with my grandma on the weekends and holidays but idk. it seems, with a lot of things in my life, i'm losing interest and motivation.

but there are two quotes (that's not what they're are called clearly but i figured to emphasize the fact that i don't worship heavily, i should use this word) from the bible that i understand:

Hebrews 13:5-6 "Let your conduct be without covetousness, and be content with such things that you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you, nor forsake you,' so that we may boldly say, 'The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me.'"
and
1 Corinthians 10:13 "There has no temptation come your way that is not common to all mankind, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength, but will, when you are tempted, also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it."

it's like that story about god and the foot steps if you will:

now, where did this come from, when it comes to me? why am i talking about this?

i believe that god sends you signs. like if your routine is regular on a day to day basis but one day something changes, i believe that's a higher power telling you that change was necessary to help you progress. in evan almighty, there's one line in the movie that had a really big impact on me. yes it was a comedy BUT i walked away with something really important.

when you ask god for patience...do you think he gives you patience or does he give you an opportunity to be patient? if you ask god for a closer bond with your family, does god give it to you, or does god give you an opportunity to grow that bond?

i had a test in accounting today. now i'll be the first to admit my attendance in that class isn't the best, but i do make it AND i do catch up on what i miss. now, whenever i'm early or i catch the early train, something happens in class, i .e. the teacher is running late or something that was due isn't collected. today, was the test. the second test of the year. again, i arrive early. i was partially prepared for this test, but i wasn't confident i'd get a high mark, but i already planned what i was going to do to pick up the pieces of my average work. i'm trying to refresh my memory for the test and the teacher shows up 20mins late. weird becuz wen there is a test, he's very early. he tells us that he's been getting request to push the test back a day, so he agreed and the test is next tuesday.

i get an email from my professor of my last class (7-8:15) saying that class is canceled today. crazy because in college you'll have that one professor WHO IS NEVER ABSENT FOR ANYTHING...she was that professor for me.

after trying to find a job for months now , since the summer, the career center has called me to let me know there are people, recruiters, from retail stores, coming to hire and interview people TODAY. jusr last week, i got my resume edited and approved.

I CRIED, FOR DAYS TO MYSELF, mostly in the shower, because i didn't know what was going to happen by the end of the year. and now...all this happened in one day. you say what you want...maybe i'm thinking to far into things...but i have a feeling, things won't happen overnight

...and i know i have Someone walking with me every step of the way.

Baruch it is then!. I've asked around, done my research and the decision is clear that my next move will be Baruch: Zicklin School of Business.

1. it's rank top ten in the country (looks good for my major)
2. the total runs me about 6,000 a year...A YEAR. cheap ass shyt.

i hope that with my hard work (since in know this semester will be crap lol) i'll be able to get a decent gpa and go on my way to being the cpa i know i can b.
